Project Spotlight

Let me start off by saying that if you have not had a chance to check out our folding reference library you can find it here. Now that we have that out of the way let’s take a look at a beautifully printed mailer that expanded upon the traditional accordion fold.

BPAC-Mailer1

The basic construction of this piece is an accordion fold brochure. An extra panel was added to fold over the top and create one open long edge for wafer sealing. This mailer can be tabbed along the top and travel through the mail cleanly.

BPAC-Mailer3

The first and second fold reveal an introduction message and the first set of eight perforated cards. The next three folds present the recipient with perforated cards that act as reminder cards and feature corresponding artwork from the artists.

BPAC-Mailer5

The thought and design that went into this mailer create an experience for the end user that is informational and interactive.

Gateway Printing & Graphics

WE ARE WHAT WE PRINT

Gateway Printing and Graphics, Inc. began in 1982 with two small presses and an old cutter acquired through the purchase of Hamburg Offset Printing. Within four years, the business had expanded to include a copy center and business forms subsidiary. Hard work by partners Jeff and Gene Donner paid off and by 1993 the group had outgrown its space and was ready to move. A new 10,000 square foot facility was constructed and Hamburg Offset became known as Gateway Printing & Graphics, Inc. Continued growth resulted in the need for more space and in 1997, a 10,000 square foot addition was erected.

Gateway started 2012 with a 30th-anniversary celebration and closed the year by breaking ground on a 10,000 square foot addition. This new space made way for a second Komori, mailing equipment, as well as much needed staging and storage areas. A basketball hoop was installed in this new space and a total of 56 baskets were “attempted”. This new addition filled up faster than anyone could have imagined and Gateway was once again in need of more space. In April of 2017, Gateway Printing & Graphics purchased 4307 South Park Avenue in Blasdell, New York. Once the home of the Big Tree Volunteer Fire Department, 4307 has been transformed into Gateway’s fulfillment & distribution hub.

What makes Gateway successful today is our dedicated staff of printing professionals, some of whom have been with the company since 1982. Achieving national accolades and recognition has been our privilege. But it is our regional values that have influenced our commitment to quality and craftsmanship the hallmark of Gateway for over 35 years.
